***Be affectionately detached from all.
What does this quote essentially mean?
I have been asked this question over and over again.
…This has been my mantra for a few years now, however, I reinforce it at the beginning of every new year.
***Sharing in a few lines what it means to me, hope it helps you all.
A few incidents in my life made me bitter temporarily, but the guidance from spiritually rich teachers made me understand the value of relationships.
***I started following Dandapani on social media whose guru coined this quote. Being affectionately detached has taught me how to interact and deal with people in life who are not uplifting and can be energy drainers.***
We all are surrounded by different personalities, the trick being how to tackle each one in a positive manner.
Learning from all and not getting attached is hard but doable.
We need to learn to invest in people who bring out the best in us.
Every human has something to offer, it is up to us what to accept and what to discard.
Please get it right; one does not have to be a recluse or be in a solitary mode to practice the art of detachment.
It merely means to be present in the world with open eyes, perform your acts, play your role gracefully, be transcendental, be zealously aloof, eventually bloom like a flower amongst the petals and thorns around.
Isolate some, nurture some but do not cling to anyone.
Keep learning and growing.
***By wisely discriminating where our energy flows, we direct it to those that uplift us and remain affectionately detached from those that drain us- Dandapani

Love, peace & blessings

The gateway to happiness is deeply rooted within us.

Search for it.

“Be happy for this moment, This moment is your life.”

-Omar Khayyam

My happy zone- my writing zen.

I try to work on myself, on my thoughts, and blot the ink on paper.

“Beautify your inner dialogue. Beautify your inner world with love light and compassion. Life will be beautiful.”

Amit Ray, Nonviolence- The Transforming Power

Let the thoughts wander away to infinity.

The universe knows it all.

Surrender and submit.

“She was free in her wildness. She was a wanderess, a drop of free water. She belonged to no man and to no city”.

-Roman Payne, The Wanderess

Small pleasures of life to satisfy the core.

It’s all about the fine balance. Hold tight.

Breathe and grow.

“I’d rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.”

– Emma Goldman

Beautifully stated. I have always tried and continue to try and be detached but the transition is so difficult. Hopefully, slowly but surely one day I will get there and reading articles as sure are very inspiring!
